When Clare-Marie was growing up on a Northland farm in New Zealand, her father had a special coat. This coat had an intricate design; a detailed houndstooth pattern with tiny squares. The family called it his ‘Thousand-Acre jacket’.
He wore that coat often. And, as a result, it holds a special place in Clare-Marie’s heart, evoking images of her father and his connection to the land.
